Reviews and Ratings
The hotel conjures up that thin line between traditional and unfashionable, providing a fair deal for the price paid. The rooms were clean but showed signs of aging in rooms 321 and 314. The staff did their best in challenging circumstances, offering a helpful and friendly service. The location was a mixed bag with some spectacular parts and some less appealing areas. The dining experience was a bit hit and miss, with good offerings on one day but lacking on others.
The hotel is in a wonderful location with spacious grounds, although some areas look tired. The rooms were far below expectations, with issues like mould and rust, needing decoration, and feeling like a maze inside. Despite these drawbacks, the service went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The dining experience had both positive and negative aspects, with the quality of ingredients being a highlight but the overall setup being disorganized. The location is convenient for travelers near the M6 motorway and train stations, with the added bonus of being dog-friendly.
The hotel offers a lovely stay with comfortable rooms and excellent service. However, the dining experience could be improved. The location is great for a relaxing getaway, and the facilities are satisfactory.
